September 2013
We have finished with hatching eggs for this year and may have another go next year - 2014.
The rainy weather has subdued the chickens and it isn't too nice when raspberry picking either - it runs down your sleeve and down the back of your neck!

July 2013
To keep our chickens and family happy, we are only selling hatching eggs this year and not pullets or chicks. It is a lot to look after if we go away on holiday or just fancy a few days away.
It certainly has been hot recently. The chickens here are managing to keep cool and love wondering about foraging.
Not much egg laying going on though and we are grateful for any we get!
January 2013
Manuel wasn't pleased about being plonked in the snow for a photo! Come on Manuel, give us a smile!

Come on girls! It's only a bit of snow!
Out you go!

September 2012
We are winding things down now for this year and hopefully will have plenty of lavender pekin hatching eggs available next spring.
Check out our Chicken Tales page for some interesting stories with great photos!
Time to get the knitting out and cosy on in next to the fire as the weather's going to get chilly and drive us all in doors!

Or you could lolly make or bake!
August 2012
What glorious sunny weather we are having! It's about time!
We have done our bit for this year and are now settling down to some relaxing and holidaying.
Hatching eggs may be available on request.
May 2012
Rain, rain and more rain!
The chickens are having to put up with a lot of mud thanks to the wet weather!
They rarely run for cover when it rains so they are also very soggy!
It looks like we may have another broody hen. At least she is dry sitting in the nest box!!
We are looking forward to some sunny days!!
April 2012
Matilda, one of our lovely lavender pekins, has hatched out 5 gorgeous chicks. She is a first time mum and has done a fantastic job - just like a pro!
